On 8 June 2026, Registan Square in Samarkand will host a concert by one of the world’s most renowned contemporary musicians — singer, songwriter and actor John Legend, a recipient of the Grammy, Oscar, Tony and Emmy awards.

The performance at one of Central Asia’s most iconic historic sites will be a major cultural event and will continue a series of international projects initiated by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, aimed at positioning the country as a venue for major global events and supporting the development of its tourism sector.
