On 6 September, a concert by Chinese pianist Lang Lang will take place at Registan Square in Samarkand, in collaboration with the National Symphony Orchestra of Uzbekistan under the baton of Alibek Kabdurakhmanov.

Lang Lang regularly performs at the world’s leading venues and appears at major international festivals. In Samarkand, he will present a programme featuring Piano Concerto No. 5 “Emperor” by Ludwig van Beethoven and Rhapsody in Blue by George Gershwin — works in which classical tradition is combined with striking concert expressiveness.
