Hayk Grigoryan Quintet

Hayk Grigoryan - trumpeter and composer, soloist of the State Jazz Orchestra of Armenia.

Hayk Grigoryan is from that rare breed of "classics" who, although they honor the canons of hard- and post-bop, sound fresh and unforced at the same time. It is distinguished by extremely expressive and technical playing, vivid expression and temperamental presentation, coupled with the timbre richness of the instrument. From 2015-2020, he worked as a member of the Moscow Jazz Orchestra conducted by Igor Butman, toured all over the world, played with outstanding musicians and performed in the most famous jazz clubs such as Blue Note and Dizzy's club Coca-cola. He repeatedly took part in international jazz competitions and festivals as part of various bands.
