Milo Suchomel recorded music at the Slovak Radio with his orchestra, which consisted of top jazz players as well as members of the Slovak Symphony Orchestra. He also recorded his own arrangements on G. Gershwin's music for the world-renowned St. Petersburg ballet Up and Down, which performed on world stages in St. Petersburg, Paris and London, New York and other states under the direction of choreographer Boris Eifman.
He composed film music for the documentaries “Not Silenced» and «Hands on Glass” by filmmaker Veronika Tóthová with a string quartet, which were broadcast on JOJ Television and Slovak cultural institutes in Prague and London. He composed and arranged the song Beautiful Northern Star, sung by the American singer Ali Caldwel (in 2013 she was a finalist in the world competition The Voice USA).
Every year he performs as a conductor with his Milo Suchomel Orchestra at the Gypsy Jazz Festival at the Arena Theater, where he presents his new compositions and arrangements to his audience. His compositions for orchestra have been performed by world stars such as Benny Golson, Bill Evans, Rick Margitza, Ernie Wats, Justin Faulkner, Gregory Hutchinson, Gail Anderson, Melanie Bong and others.
In 2019, his three CDs were released, recording a live performance by the Milo Suchomel Orchestra with his original compositions for orchestra, as well as a string quartet.
In 2020, he released a CD containing 10 original songs with his new music project "Šalefuky", which was presented at the prestigious European Jazz Festival in Přerov (Czechoslovak Jazz Festival in Přerov, 2021) with a great success.
Pavol Bereza was born in 1982 in Poprad, Slovakia. Already during his university studies, he was part of many bands and music projects. Later he was participating in many albums, studio recordings and soundtracks for films. As a member of various projects he took part in many jazz and cross over festivals, not only in Slovakia but also abroad: Bratislava Jazz Days, 2018 BHS festival, 2013 JazzFest Brno, 2014, 2016 Izmir European Jazz Festival, 2016 Euro Jazz Mexico, 2017 Morelia Jazztival, Michuacan - Mexico, 2017 Guatemala Jazz Festival, 2017 Czecho-Slovak Jazz Festival Přerov, 2018 Jazz Fest Wien, 2018 Livre Paris, etc.
While performing side by side with Slovak artists on several occasions he collaborated with international artists: Bill Evans, Benito Gonzales, Felipe Fournier, Rick Bailey, Alex Mercado, Kevin Mahogany, Gustav Brom Big Band, etc.
The main part of his musical career was being a part of projects, bands, but in 2017 he released his own CD called Intuition. This CD was nominated as the best Slovak jazz album of 2017 for Radio Head Awards and Esprit jazz awards.
