For the first time in the history of Uzbekistan, World Athletics - the global authority for the sport of athletics - has granted the International Tashkent Marathon (“ITM”) the World Athletics Road Label, and the ITM has become the qualifying race for the Olympic Games and the World Championship. In order to receive the World Athletics Road Label, the organizers must comply, among others, with the highest organizational standards and the strict anti-doping policy. Important updates about the 2022 edition of the International Tashkent Marathon
1. We care for the environment! Our T-shirts are made from the recycled plastic bottles; and the participants' backpacks are made from the banners of previous sports events. We've also been inspired by the “Trees Not Tees” campaign and are planning to make sports events even greener in the future by giving to the participants the option to plant trees instead of getting T-shirts.
2. Kenyans - one of the fastest runners on the planet - will take part in the marathon race!
3. No DNF or “DID NOT FINISH”! We say that you "DID NOT FAIL", but not "DID NOT FINISH"! Just because you did not finish does not mean you did not try and did not compete, and we will give the medal, if one completes 3/4 of the distance.
4. The International Tashkent Marathon has become the qualifying race for the Abbott WMM Wanda Age Group World Championship and participants who are 40+ years old will be included into the global rating of the Abbott World Marathon Majors. We will continue promoting diversity, inclusion and the representation of different groups in our races! Keep an eye on the news!
5. Invite your FFFs - friends, family and fans -our photographers will focus on their emotions! IMPORTANT!
Upon completion of registration on the iticket.uz platform, the participant confirms that he agrees, has read and understood the meaning: descriptions, provisions and public offer agreement of the Tashkent International Marathon, links to documents are given below and published in free access on the website tashkentmarathon.com Prize fund: 316 800 000 sum.
