Plot

A noble young man Albert tries to look after a young peasant girl Giselle, having changed clothes and hidden his rich clothes. Having achieved the location of Giselle, her simple-hearted love, vowing to become her husband and groom, he suddenly meets his real bride, Bathilda. Upon learning of the deception, Giselle goes mad and dies.

On the night after her death, the Wilissa girls, who died before the wedding, deceived by their lovers, are going to take revenge on those who appear near the grave. They dance to death Hans - the forester. And then, on the orders of their leader, they begin to take revenge on Albert, who also came to the grave of Gisli. Giselle tries to beg and protect her unfaithful lover, but she cannot resist the will of the viliss. She only does her best to help Albert survive until morning, when the spell is broken. The love of young Giselle survived her life and saved the life of her lover.
