IOSIS FEST x CELESTE (FRA) @ SAHNA STANDUP CLUB
Doors Open: 4:00 PM
Celeste is one of the darkest and most uncompromising bands on the contemporary European metal scene. Hailing from Lyon, France, the band blends elements of black metal, sludge, and post-hardcore to create a dense, crushing, and emotionally charged sound.
Over nearly two decades, Celeste has released several critically acclaimed records and performed at some of Europe’s most prominent alternative music festivals and venues. Their live shows are renowned for their unique atmosphere: the musicians perform in near-total darkness, illuminating the stage only with red headlamps, transforming each concert into a powerful and almost ritualistic experience.
For the first time, Celeste are embarking on a Central Asian tour, with Tashkent included on the itinerary. The concert will take place across two halls of Sahna Club and will be supported by representatives of the local alternative and metal scene.
Owl Cries (Post Metal) — veterans of the local heavy music scene, blending post-metal, progressive, sludgecore, and other related genres.
WTFKA (Modern Metal / Nu Metalcore) — a Tashkent-based metal band with nearly a decade of history, recently focusing on releasing an intense and aggressive body of original material.
elbowsway (Post-Shoegaze) — a project combining atmospheric post-shoegaze and emo with hardcore energy. This contrast is designed to throw the listener from walls of distorted sound into moments of soft melancholy.
Tvar' (Fuzz Funk) — a tropical storm of strange rhythms and overdriven bass, wandering across countries and continents.
Fjord (Drone Metal) — an experimental project by Dmitry Minin (Diqqat, Moment Of Clarity) and Ignat Lisunovsky (DSL System). The duo released two EPs in 2016 and creates a low-frequency flow of drone metal, noise, and ambient soundscapes.
Menrush (Thrash Metal) — performers of classic thrash metal with an intense live presence. After a long hiatus and a nearly complete lineup change, the band is finally ready to present its renewed program.
Insanity House (Death Metal) — proactive leaders of Tashkent’s young metal scene, performing deathcore for a new generation of fans while also organizing their own mini-festivals.
qorakitobchi (Harsh Noise / Drone) — the avant-garde musical project of Anvar Kalandarov, vinyl collector and founder of the Maqom Soul label. Through qorakitobchi, the artist creates noise-based soundscapes inspired by musique concrète and harsh noise, giving birth to a distinctly Eastern form of drone.
