ABOUT THE EVENT

Samarkand Tourism Forum is an independent business event for participants in the tourism sector of the Central Asian region and the event of the year for creators of travel experiences and sellers of tourism services focused on development, cooperation and the search for new solutions.

The STF’24 program will focus on sustainability practices necessary for long-term development in the face of constant global change.
How and why to run a tourism business using sustainability principles and what are these principles? How can vocational education, inclusion and working with vulnerable groups make business green and sustainable?
What green technologies can entrepreneurs afford right now?

Among the speakers at STF'24 are Sjannie Hulsman-Louwers and Barnaby Davies (trainers of guides and tour operators, EastguidesWest, The Hague), Gregory Schaefer (expert on gastrotourism, Basque Bites, San Sebastian), Evgeniy Zalberg (trainer of guides with international experience TV Grand Circle Travel and Mir Corporation (USA), St. Petersburg), Sergey Glukhoverov (tour operator and owner, Travel Experts, member of the board of KATO, Bishkek), Luka Lässer (tour operator and co-owner, Kalpak Travel, Nussbaumen) and many others.

TICKET CATEGORIES

• Basic category tickets entitle you to attend all business events of the forum: master classes, workshops, panel discussions and round tables.

• Tickets of the Guides* (for guides) and Student** (for university students) categories give the right to attend the forum’s business events at a special price: master classes, workshops, panel discussions and round tables. Valid upon presentation of documents on the day of the event.

• Tickets of the Basic & INVISIBLE SAMARKAND category give the right to attend all business events of the forum and the right to participate in the audio performance INVISIBLE SAMARKAND (one session during the forum, pre-registration is required).

INVISIBLE SAMARKAND is an immersive audio performance that is performed right on the streets of Samarkand. 25 spectators put on headphones and go exploring the city. The hero's voice will guide the group through the most interesting, unobvious and important places and streets, and tell his story, closely connected with the history of Samarkand.

• Tickets in the Basic & Gala Dinner*** category entitle you to attend all business events of the forum and the festive closed Gala Dinner* and the STF Award ceremony. You will enjoy informal communication and networking with STF speakers and partners.

• STF All Inclusive tickets entitle you to attend all business events of the forum, the right to participate in the audio performance INVISIBLE SAMARKAND (one session during the forum, pre-registration is required) and a place at the table of the festive Gala Dinner* and the STF Award ceremony.

*Please note that a Guides ticket will only be valid upon presentation of a guide badge on the day of the event.

***Gala Dinner and the STF Award ceremony will take place on February 9 (the organizer will inform you about the time and place additionally). Among the guests of Gala Dinner are speakers and partners of the Samarkand Tourism Forum.
