The ballet “Ural” — an evening of one-act masterpieces by Mikhail Fokine

About event

As part of the International Ballet Festival organised by the Uzbekistan Art and Culture Development Foundation, the ballet “Ural” — an evening of one-act masterpieces by Mikhail Fokine will be presented on 11–12 April on the stage of the Alisher Navoi State Academic Bolshoi Theatre of Uzbekistan.

The ballet consists of three acts: the first features the miniatures “The Vision of the Rose” and “The Dying Swan”, symbols of Russian ballet modernism; the second is “Chopiniana” set to music by Frédéric Chopin; the third is “Carnaval” to music by Robert Schumann, an elegant ballet-pantomime in the spirit of the Diaghilev era.
