About the Venue

The Berdakh Karakalpak State Academic Musical Theatre is one of the leading cultural institutions in Nukus, showcasing the rich history, artistic traditions, and cultural heritage of the Karakalpak people. Founded on November 8, 1926, the theatre has played an important role in the establishment and development of professional theatre in Karakalpakstan. In 2025, it was granted academic theatre status.

The theatre presents a variety of performances, including musical dramas, comedies, and dramatic productions.
